Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how this website handles information when you visit our independent NorthStar Bets review pages. We are an independent affiliate review site — we are not the operator, we do not run any casino or sportsbook, and you do not open a betting account, deposit funds, or play any game with us. Because of that, the personal information we handle is minimal, and this policy is written to align with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site, understand how it is used, and improve our reviews. We do not ask you to register, and we do not host gambling accounts, deposits, or wagers.

The information that may be collected falls into two groups:

  • Information you choose to give us. If you choose to reach out to the site owner, you may provide details such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and keep a record of the correspondence.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and analytics tools record technical data when you visit — for example your approximate region, IP address (often truncated or anonymised by our analytics provider), browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is standard log and usage data, and on its own it does not identify you by name.

We do not collect payment-card numbers, banking details, government-ID documents, or know-your-customer (KYC) information on this site. Any registration, deposit, identity verification, or KYC check happens on the operator’s own platform, under the operator’s privacy policy, not ours. If you sign up with the operator through one of our links, the data you submit there is handled by the operator, and we never see your account credentials, deposits, or balances.

Cookies & analytics

How we use information & third parties

To run the site we rely on a small number of trusted third-party service providers, which may process technical or usage data on our behalf:

  • Hosting and content-delivery providers that serve the website and keep server logs for security and performance.
  • Web-analytics providers that produce the aggregate visitor reports described above.
  • Affiliate networks that record outbound clicks to operators for referral attribution.

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and ask how it has been used and to whom it may have been disclosed.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Withdraw consent and ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to any legal or legitimate record-keeping obligations.
  • Opt out of analytics and non-essential cookies through your browser, as described above.

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected (for example, to handle and follow up on your enquiry) or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the limited data we hold against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children & eligibility

Gambling content is for adults only. This site, and the operators we review, are intended for people who are 19+ and located in Canada, outside Ontario. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 19. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it. Please play responsibly.
